MRA is a firm of Chartered Building Surveyors and Environmental Consultants operating throughout the United Kingdom offering a full range of services to our clients who range from private individuals up to large national corporations.

In addition to our core traditional building surveying services such as building surveys and landlord and tenant work, we also have the technical in-house expertise to provide environmental consultancy services particularly with regards to management of asbestos materials in premises, including the identification and management of asbestos in any type of building.
Services
We can undertake all types of building and condition surveys on most types of buildings ranging from single properties to multi property portfolios.
These surveys and reports will provide vital information to owners or prospective owners about the condition of the building and will enable the client to make an informed judgement about current issues or future liabilities regarding the building.
These surveys may be prior to acquisition of a property or properties, to enable the formulation of a planned maintenance programme, to identify particular building defects or surveys prior to adaptations or alterations to the building.
It is important that building owners and occupiers allocate sufficient time and resources to the maintenance requirements of the buildings they own and occupy to ensure that the buildings maintain their value, both as an investment asset and as a working environment for occupiers.
In conjunction with condition surveys we can offer a full maintenance service for building owners and occupiers in which we will identify maintenance requirements, both reactive and cyclical, formulate maintenance programmes and arrange and administer the undertaking of the maintenance work by suitable contractors.
We are able to manage building projects on behalf of our clients from 'inception to completion' during which we will prepare a project brief, liaise with designers and consultants, appoint main and sub contractors to carry out works, administer the building contract and, generally, ensure the finished product is compatible with our clients requirements.
We will, essentially, provide a single point of contact for our clients to enable them to concentrate on their primary business during any development works.
It is inevitable that at some stage during the lifetime of a commercial lease, whether you are a building owner or occupier, or possibly both, you will be required to prepare or undertake work outlined in a Schedule of Dilapidations.
We are able to act on behalf of either party in preparing or negotiating the contents of Interim or Terminal Schedules of Dilapidations.
If we are acting on behalf of a tenant we can negotiate with the landlords agents and ensure that you are not carrying out work which is unnecessary under the terms of the lease or, if you are agreeing a financial settlement, you are not including items in this settlement which are not necessary.
