Survey Solutions
As the UK's largest engineering surveyors, expertise, experience and exceeding expectations are just three ways Survey Solutions sets itself apart from other companies in the field. Speed and size is another. Operating throughout the UK from our national network of nine offices - from Scotland to Somerset - means we can respond rapidly to client requests.

As a general rule, we aim to be on site within one week. Not only do we have wide geographical reach, our comprehensive range of surveying services - Land, Buildings, Underground, Site Engineering and Monitoring - covers all sizes of project too, from domestic one-off jobs through to complex multi-package schemes. Our sectoral approach is similarly broad, ranging from residential new build to retail, energy to education and transport to healthcare.

And we can provide support throughout the project life cycle - from initial enquiry to final delivery and beyond. Established for 20 years, our growing team of specialist surveyors and engineers is matched by a rapidly expanding client portfolio, with high rates of repeat business and very positive feedback on the experience of working with us.
Services
Survey Solutions was first formed in 1997 by its now CEO James Cooper.
Initially, this was a subsidiary of TA Millard, a well-respected and long-standing structural consultancy based in East Anglia.
With a number of years of surveying experience, James believed Millards would benefit from a separate surveying division.
In 2004, the company moved to an independent business following a management buy-out by James.
He was joined in 2007 by three Directors; Dave Bredin, Greg Norman and Paul Singleton, all of whom had also worked with James at Millards.
Commissioning a land survey is a vital start to a broad spectrum of projects - and it needs to be conducted quickly, accurately and to deliver as much data as possible to inform the next step.
At Survey Solutions, we have extensive experience of carrying out geomatic surveys, across a range of sectors and for all sizes of project.
Harnessing the latest survey technology means we can deliver data quickly, in detail and in different formats.
With our 'toolbox' approach, we will advise on the most effective way to achieve your objectives, assessing all relevant factors before starting work.
Providing a comprehensive range of measured building survey services ensures we can select the right approach for each individual project - and to achieve the data you need.
Whether it's floor plans, sections, structural details or elevations, we survey each element of the property, either independently or as part of a fully-connected co-ordinated brief.
Where appropriate, building surveys can also be carried out in conjunction with topographical or underground surveys.
Recently we have seen an increase in requests for surveying flat roof structures constructed from Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) planks, primarily at a number of hospitals across the UK as well as schemes in other sectors.
Our specialist Underground Utilities team harnesses the latest survey technology, including dual-frequency ground penetrating radar (GPR), to locate and trace services below ground including sewers, gas mains, heating and water, lighting cables, BT telephone lines, other communication cables and traffic signalling cables.
In addition to locating utilities, our underground surveys provide detailed data on below ground conditions ahead of any site excavations, drilling, piling or borehole clearance.
The most recent addition to our complementary range of services, Site Engineering can provide specialist support during the construction stage of any size of project - from bespoke one-off commissions through to larger complex schemes.
Our experienced engineers will work alongside your on-site team to manage sub-contractors involved in piling, earthwork, groundwork and foundations, ensuring construction proceeds on-time and on-budget.
Taking the concept and design of the project, site engineers use their technical knowledge to make it happen in real-time, setting out and locking down guidelines for different trades which ensures all elements align.
