At Caintech Ltd, we are often presented the task of assisting with gaining planning permission for various projects, this assistance can regularly be from creating an accurate visualisation showing how such a project would look when completed.
This is carried out by initially creating an original ground surface, which can be done using either Aerial or terrestrial image capturing techniques, after this is carried out, we then use our software to develop a 3D model of the entire area.
We can then create a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) for comparison with proposed ground, building or structural models.

3D Laser Scanning is a form of High Definition Surveying which is growing in popularity as a fast, reliable and non-intrusive means of capturing 3D data.
With the use of laser scanning, vast amounts of data can be collected in a much shorter space of time than if conventional survey techniques were to be utilised.
The dataset produced by laser scanning is in the form of a 3D point cloud - a collection of accurately co-ordinated points in a 3D environment.
