Philip's career began with the District Valuer's Office in Taunton, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1987. Attracted by the "bright lights" of Yeovil, Philip joined Palmer Snell in 1988 and remained within that organisation until 2007, by which time he was the Professional Services Director. Philip has an excellent working knowledge of the property market throughout Somerset having been based at offices in Yeovil, Taunton, Weston-Super-Mare and Bristol during his career.
Specialising in residential and commercial property valuation, Philip also has significant experience as an Expert Witness, having given evidence in person at both County and High Court level. Outside of work Philip's interests include mountain hiking (principally in the Alps), gardening, and being "taken for a walk" by his dogs on a daily basis. Paul spent the early years of his career on the 'client side' and predominantly specialising in retail property.
After a brief spell with a multinational agency, Paul set up his own practice which was subsequently merged with RMW in 2014 to create RMW Knight Chartered Surveyors.
